How To Play

Aim: The player with the least points at the end of the game wins. However, the real aim of Bottoms Up is just to have fun, drink and get to know the other players better.

Age: 18+

Players: 2 or more (best enjoyed with 3-8 players)

Set Up: The game consists of Point Cards and Just For Fun Cards. Shuffle cards before playing. All players need a drink and a good sense of humour. Keep a bottle handy for refills. We advise this game to be played with a punch or pre-mixed drink, it’ll last longer and so will you.

The last player to have watched porn starts.

Gameplay: Bottoms Up uses command cards to instruct players to drink if they meet certain criteria. There are two types of cards:

Just For Fun Cards are just for fun and don’t earn any points for the players that drink when they come up. For example “Drink if you’ve ever been in handcuffs” is a Just For Fun Card, this can apply to multiple players, any players that it applies to must drink but the card is then put aside in a separate pile and none of those that drank earn any additional points.

Point Cards issue points to the player that drinks when they come up in the game. For example “The player with the biggest hands must drink” is a Point Card, these cards can apply to only one player and whoever that is has to drink, the drinker then holds onto that card which represents one point.

In the rare case that players are tied on a Point Card, for example, “The player with the most piercings must drink”. This card could apply to two or more players if they were to all have 5 piercings, in this scenario, they would play one round of rock, paper, scissors to determine a loser. The loser would then drink, keep the card and earn the point.

Quiz cards are a type of Point Card. These have multiple answers and require each player to take turns offering possible answers, for example, “Take turns naming a sex position”, one player can say “Missionary”, the next player can say “Cowboy”, the next then “Doggy style” and so on. The first player to pause, repeat or make a mistake drinks, keeps the card and earns the point.

The game ends when you finish the deck, finish your drinks or you’re just finished! Bottoms up.
